Our Story

Jon Michael's Jewelers, founded in 1979 by Jon Michael "Mike" Fuja, is a family owned fine jewelry store located in historic downtown Durand. Darren and Jennifer Garrison purchased the business from Mike in August of 2022. Darren brings to Jon Michael's 40 years of experience in the jewelry industry, specializing in repair and custom design. Jon Michael's Jewelers in conjunction with our sister store, Gold Designers Manufacturing in Swartz Creek, strive to provide and continue the small town personalized customer service that Durand and the surrounding communities have come to expect from us. Unlike larger corporations, we believe in the power of genuine connections and take the time to ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to quality and attention to detail. By preserving the traditions of small-business values, we honor the past while continuing to serve our community with the same dedication that has defined us from the very beginning.
